by Romario Gabbidon

The culinary scene in Orlando is about to get a whole lot more exciting as Tavistock Restaurant Collection gears up to unveil its latest dining concept in Lake Nona Town Center. Nami, a contemporary Japanese restaurant and cocktail bar, is all set to welcome diners starting on September 27th.

Nestled within the chic surroundings of the Lake Nona Wave Hotel at 6004 Artist Ave., Nami promises an exquisite dining experience with a modern twist.

Unique Dining Experiences:

What sets Nami apart is its commitment to offering two distinct dining experiences. You can choose to dine in the elegant 67-seat dining room or opt for an exclusive culinary adventure at The Omakase Counter at Nami, which seats only 10 guests at a time. This intimate setting promises a personalized gastronomic journey rooted in Japanese culinary traditions.

Economic Impact:

The arrival of elevated dining concepts like Nami often serves as an economic indicator for the area. Beyond the economic significance, these restaurants enrich the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. In a dynamic mixed-use destination like Lake Nona Town Center, the synergy between dining establishments and entertainment venues often fuels the demand for nearby residential and office spaces.

Sneak Peek into Nami's Menu:

  • Appetizers and Shareables: Indulge in delectable creations like lobster donuts with a touch of matcha powder, Nami Nuggets served with their signature house-made kimchi, and tuna pizza with a tantalizing anchovy aioli, among other mouthwatering options.

  • Larger-Format Dishes: Share a memorable meal for two with options like whole lobster, served with a shell-on tail and a flavorful paella-style rice complemented by a lobster claw. Alternatively, savor solo entrees like Chilean sea bass, green miso-dressed lamb chops, or a succulent 10-ounce ribeye accompanied by wasabi potato and grilled maitake mushroom.

  • Signature Cocktails: Elevate your dining experience with signature drinks such as Ivory, a vodka-based concoction with apple, ginger, and lemongrass; Clear, a refreshing gin-based highball with lemongrass, ginger, lime, and sonic; and Blush, a delightful twist on the classic Lychee Martini featuring Haku Vodka, lychee, grapefruit, and sakura blossom.

For a more intimate culinary encounter, The Omakase Counter at Nami offers a menu that aligns with the restaurant's culinary traditions. Expect multi-course offerings, including small plates and nigiri, curated with a personal touch.

Nami's culinary excellence is in the capable hands of Chef de Cuisine Jason Beliveau and General Manager Christopher Bugeya. Behind the scenes, the Tavistock Restaurant Collection boasts a stellar team, including Senior Culinary Director Eli Kaimeh, Culinary Director Freddy Money, Corporate Pastry Chef Stuart Whitfield, and Corporate Beverage Director Jacob Johnson.

Nami will welcome guests from 5 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, the final seating will be at 10 p.m., while on Fridays and Saturdays, the last seating will extend until 11 p.m. The restaurant is committed to ensuring each guest's experience is nothing short of exceptional, with an abbreviated late-night menu available after the final seating.

With its blend of contemporary Japanese cuisine, signature cocktails, and intimate dining experiences, Nami is poised to become a culinary cornerstone in Lake Nona. Whether you're a local food enthusiast or a visitor seeking an unforgettable dining adventure, mark your calendar for September 27th and embark on a journey to savor the flavors of Nami in the heart of Lake Nona.
