Tucked into the charming stretch of South Orlando Avenue, The Glass Knife is more than just a bakery,  it’s a refined café destination that proudly wears its sweetness on its sleeve by offering everything from handcrafted donuts to elegant cakes, savory brunches, and even wine and beer.

The space itself feels like stepping into a soft‑glazed daydream with an airy, beautifully appointed interior with communal wooden tables, pastel showcases, and luxe lighting, cultivating an atmosphere that’s both modern and welcoming .

A Taste of What I Tried

Crème Brûlée Donut

This indulgent treat marries the sophistication of classic French dessert with donut comfort. Inside, a creamy custard is tucked into pillowy dough, finished with a perfectly torched caramelized sugar cap. It’s a satisfying blend of textures,  smooth, creamy, with that signature crackle. I am a sucker for anything creme brulee and this did not dissapoint!

Lavendar Sparkling Lemonade

On the savory, refreshing side, the hibiscus lemonade hit the spot. Tart, floral, with just the right balance of sweetness, it’s a vibrant sip that complements rich pastries. Their menu also highlights other house-crafted beverages i.e cold brews, flavored lattes, and more!

Why It Stands Out

  1. Built-In Community Vibes
The Glass Knife’s ethos focuses on “togetherness and celebration.” Their story stems from a mom’s kitchen and homemade recipes passed down through generations; a warm, family-infused origin that gives the place genuine soul.

  2. Sweet and Savory Harmony
Beyond donuts, their handcrafted menu includes avocado‑egg toast, chicken salad croissants, quiches, and weekend brunch dishes, perfect for those who want to linger over both sweet and savory

  3. Locally Celebrated
With a solid 4.1 out of 5 on TripAdvisor, ranking #27 in Winter Park, and rave reviews for quality desserts and coffee, its reputation is well-deserved. Diners consistently note the high-quality pastries, well-made coffee, and pleasant al fresco option.
